BIOGRAPHY

Tricia Dickerson, an avid food and wine enthusiast, learned to cook from her Italian
relatives on the family farm in upstate New York where she later owned and operated a
catering business for over three years.

Her formal training in the culinary arts includes certification in pastry from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, pastry and baking from the Art Institute of Atlanta, the Culinary Business Academy, and certification in chocolate from the Ewald Notter School of Pastry Arts in Orlando, Florida.

As a successful sales and marketing manager with IBM for over twenty-four years, she received many awards and commendations for excellence in sales and marketing strategy, and was responsible for managing several worldwide conferences. She was the Cooking School Director at The Cook’s Warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia and taught cooking and chocolate classes.

She began making handmade chocolates twenty-four years ago as a hobby for her son’s teachers and classmates, and her friends and family. By popular demand her chocolates grew into a business and chocolate classes.

With a keen interest in travel, Tricia visits Italy and other European countries paying more attention to the food and wine than the popular tourist attractions, and brings back wonderful ideas for new recipes.

Tricia has a passion for the culinary arts, and is now a personal chef in Sarasota, Florida (Tricia’s Home Plate, LLC), is a cooking school consultant, and teaches cooking and chocolate classes. She specializes in Italian cooking, small parties, children classes, pastries and baking, and chocolates. She is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association and the Women Chefs & Restaurateurs.
